Celebrate the growing season – all gardeners are welcome
Find the plants you need to attract birds of all feathers to your yard and garden. Native plants help support native birds and the pollinators that feed them. Don’t forget to include a water element like a bird bath to keep them coming back.
Early Spring is a great time to give new plants a jump start and make them easier to care for next year. We still have plenty of Spring rains to help roots get established before the summer drought season, making them stronger and larger faster without any work on your part.
More than 100 species of Oregon wildflowers, shrubs and trees will be available to enhance your yard, woodland or stream bank. Special shopping lists will be available for shade, sun, butterflies and hummingbirds.
Plant experts will also be on hand to answer questions and talk about topics like:
- Why native plants benefit habitat
- How to design a native plant area
- Planting and care of native plants
These events are free and open to the public. All proceeds benefit Portland Audubon programs such as nature education, wildlife sanctuaries, and wildlife rehabilitation.
