I’m excited to join the Clackamas River Basin Council for an all new 2 part series on Rain Gardens – What they are and how to build one. 

The first class in the series is virtual and will be taught by my colleague Lora Price of Design with Nature.  The 2nd part in the series will take place Environmental Learning Center at Clackamas Community College and will be presented by Amy

Please join me, Saturday, May 13th for Session 2: Rain Garden and Bioswale Design

This session is the SECOND of a 2-part series both are FREE, but require registration

  • Session 1: Introduction to Rain Gardens
    Location: Zoom – taught by Lora Price
    When: Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 from 6 – 8:00 pm

    Join us on Zoom for an overview of rainwater, ideas on ways to manage rainwater, conserve water and protect water quality.

  • Session 2: Rain Garden and Bioswale Design
    Location: Clackamas Community College ELC – taught by Amy Whitworth
    When: Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 9 am – noon am
    Join us in person and we will help you assess your site for rain garden planning and design. We will also provide the nuts and bolts for how to construct your rain garden including underground and overland ways of connecting them, planting and maintaining them, challenges, constraints and rain garden alternatives. We will wrap up the session with a tour of the rain gardens at the ELC.

    **Note: max 50 attendees for the in-person session, register early to hold your space.
